Tim Swayne @Studio 46
West Wales best kept secret
Once Burry Port was west Wales’ best kept secret. Now word’s out. You’ll see why when you get there: halfway between Carmarthen and Llanelli, with an eight-mile beach, a yachty pleasure marina, this is a place that’s re-inventing itself. And at the heart of the action is Studio 46, a vibrant community-focused home workspace buzzing with the arts and crafts of local creatives including that of owner, Tim Swayne. And it’s certainly put Burry Port and the creative profile of the area on the map. From lighthouses to castles, see original local landscape painting and evocative photography. Take a little of Burry Port back home with you.

Greenspace Gallery
Green at heart
Greenspace is what says on the tin – a bold new gallery space with a green heart. Though it’s physically located in Carmarthen’s town centre, its vision is boundless. Here you’ll see nature celebrated in the fine art, silk and ceramics of its curator, artist Dorothy Morris, and a commitment to the preservation of the planet, life and well-being. Take time out. Take stock. Unwind, slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Sit. Stare. Sip tea and coffee as you watch the artist at work as she combines the influences of her home at the water’s edge at Ferryside with her passion for environmental and social issues.
