Arts and Crafts

You don’t have to go live in a busy city to be creative. Many designers, artists, sculptors, potters, creators and makers have found their creative spark in Carmarthenshire. In a place so beautiful and dramatic, it’s hard not be creative. The landscape, the history and the people all inspire. You can buy the results of their creativity in the craft shops, boutiques, studios, galleries and markets found all over the county.

During a visit to Carmarthenshire there is also plenty of opportunity to discover the artist or poet in you. You’ll find courses or workshops for all sorts of arts and crafts. Or perhaps just walk in the footsteps of artists and poets and appreciate what got their creative juices flowing. As good a starting point as any is Dylan Thomas’ boathouse in Laugharne. Here you can look over the Laugharne estuary and the “Heron priested shore”.

Discover the creative in you. And along with it, a new meaning to ‘made in Carmarthenshire’.
