Scarlets Heritage Tour

The Scarlets heritage tour lasts approximately 45 to 75 minutes. Provides the option of guided or unguided. 10% discount for group bookings of 10 or more. Every Wednesday and Friday afternoon, every week. The Trail at Parc y Scarlets provides a range of visitor experiences and learning opportunities from 1872 onwards using audio, visual and interactive software methods to tell the story of Llanelli and its world famous rugby club.

Animal Magic

National Botanic Garden of Wales, Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire SA32 8HN.
Gifted storyteller and illustrator Jackie Morris is bringing her magical art to the National Botanic Garden of Wales this winter. Jackie’s big love of the natural world will dominate her winter show in the Garden’s Gallery - entitled Song of the Golden Hare - with paintings and drawings of all her favourite creatures, great and small, from her popular and best-selling books. Her exhibition, which runs from November 4 until January 13, will feature the luxuriant and loving illustrations of animals which are her trademark. Our winter exhibition for 2014 is Seren Wen (Bright Star) and features the work of more than twenty bright stars from the Applied and Fine Art fields in Wales, and the UK. A chance to find beautiful Christmas gifts specially selected and presented in the gallery along with high-quality craft, gifts and cards in the gallery shop. 10.00am and 4.00pm. Admission for adults is £4.00. All indoor pitches must be pre-booked whilst outdoor pitches will be available on the day with set-up at 7.30am. With upwards of 100 stalls at the Carmarthen Flea Market (mostly undercover) the next event will also be the perfect place to buy vintage Christmas presents that won’t be found on the high street. You’ll find everything from retro furniture to ceramics and agricultural implements. Given clear skies, there will be a host of heavenly bodies on display at the National Botanic Garden of Wales ‘Star Party’ later this month. You could see the Andromeda Galaxy, the Moon, the Pleiades and many other fascinating stellar objects on Friday November 28, when the Swansea Astronomical Society host the latest Botanic Garden Stargazing event, from 6pm until 9pm. All the action takes place in and around the Great Glasshouse - bring your own scopes as well, especially if you want help and advice. Christmas Craft Fair Llangyndeyrn

Neuadd Yr Eglwys, Llangyndeyrn Church Hall.
The annual Christmas craft fair will be held this year on Sat 29th Nov from 10am-3pm with proceeds going to Cylch Meithrin Llangyndeyrn. There will be a variety of stalls from cakes, crafts and gifts (stall holders will be confirmed on this page asap) as well as refreshments, Christmas carols, raffle and mulled wine.
