Murder Mystery Evening

Animal Magic

Gifted storyteller and illustrator Jackie Morris is bringing her magical art to the National Botanic Garden of Wales this winter. Jackie’s big love of the natural world will dominate her winter show in the Garden’s Gallery - entitled Song of the Golden Hare - with paintings and drawings of all her favourite creatures, great and small, from her popular and best-selling books. Her exhibition, which runs from November 4 until January 13, will feature the luxuriant and loving illustrations of animals which are her trademark. Her books are on sale in the Garden gift shop along with postcards and prints.

Theatrau Sir Gâr and Llanelli Music and Drama Club present Sinfonia Cymru

1.00pm. £10. Musicians from Sinfonia Cymru perform a recital featuring two intensely intimate masterpieces from the chamber music repertoire. Schubert’s final instrumental composition, String Quartet in C Major, is generally recognised as one of his most sublime works. Webern’s Langsamer Satz, one of his earliest works, features a deeply romantic and Brahms-like sound that would soon after be lost with his commencement of studies of Atonalism with Schoenberg.

The festival runs from Friday 21st November. Llandeilo's annual pre-Christmas Festival of the Senses offers a unique, chic and free event for all the family! The festival hosts an amazing array of unique & chic shops and restaurants offering a preview day with many discounts on offer throughout the weekend. Late night shopping is available on the Friday as the town comes alive with a party atmosphere. The markets will be in full swing and the town Christmas lights are switched on plus live music to follow on the main stage in King Street.

Gary Griffiths Album Launch

Introduced by BBC Radio Wales’ popular Beverley Humphreys, Welsh opera star Gary Griffiths will be joined by English National Opera soprano Kate Valentine, pianist Caradog Williams, the acclaimed Hywel Girls’ Choir & Hywel Boy Singers and the mighty Pontarddulais Male Choir. The performance will launch the debut album by Gary Griffiths to be released by SAIN.
