Attractions range from knights jousting and falconry displays to clay pigeon shooting, a family funfair, face painting, children's entertainers and living statues. Castell Howell is holding a food fair at the event, and the Gwendraeth Valley Historical Society will have displays. A craft fayre will offer goods ranging from hand-made jewellery, wooden products, crystals, vintage handbags and equine art to balloons, ornaments, bags and quilts. The Merlin Bike Ride

International Day of Dance
National Botanic Garden of Wales.
There will be a heady mix of Highland flings and flamenco at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Saturday, July 10, as dancers from as far afield as Scotland and Valencia strut their stuff. The first step in this colourful day of dance is taken at 10.30am when all participants take part in the Big Parade from the entrance up the Broadwalk. They will then be welcomed to the Garden by director Dr Rosie Plummer before the dancing begins.
Grup de Dansa L’Acudia will be attending the event. Other popular participants will be the St Andrew’s Scottish Dance Society, the Deva Flamenco Dancers, the Garth Country Dancers - and hundreds of Welsh dancers. The Garden is open from 10am-6pm and the event is sponsored by the Welsh Folk Dance Society; Tony and Madeleine Graf, of Maespant, Dryslwyn; D&C Travel; Dawnswyr Llanarthne; and the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Amman Valley Big Day Out & Mardi Gras Carnival

Have some good old fashioned family fun at the 6th annual Amman Valley Big Day Out and Mardi Gras Carnival. Dress up Mardi Gras style and join in the street parade or just relax and take in some of the performances which include The Mighty Smith show, where the UK’s Strongest Man demonstrates his awesome strength by tearing up telephone books, pulling vehicles and jumping on broken glass. There’s also plenty to keep the kids entertained from pottery classes, street entertainers and circus skills workshops to children’s quad bikes and a climbing wall.

Llandeilo Music and Flower Festival
Llandeilo.
For one week each July, this lovely little corner of Wales plays host to music artists from the international stage, turning the small town of Llandeilo into a veritable hotspot for music acts. In that week anyone crossing the town’s famous bridge would hardly suspect what sounds lay in store: Sir Willard White, Sir Thomas Allen, The King’s Singers, Nikolai Demidenko, Tasmin Little, Jamie Cullum the list is endless. Opening the festival on Saturday 10th July will be 'The Swingle Singers'.
Where: Sitting proudly on a hill above the river Tywi, the picturesque town of Llandeilo has an old world atmosphere with narrow streets and attractive historic buildings.
Cost: The Flower Festival is free, prices for concerts vary from completely free up to £30.

A summer exhibition presenting a selection of paintings by award winning artist Brendan Stuart Burns, who spent 2009 working on an artist residency project in Oriel-y-Parc, St Davids in Pembrokeshire. Come along to the 22nd Ferryside Garden Crawl. All funds raised support the Ferryside Lifeboat celebrating its 175th year. Lots of interesting gardens are taking part this year including a collectors corner featuring Hornby Dublo and vintage corgi and dinky toys. Jazz will be playing with cream teas and programmes available from the Village Hall. Entry is just £2 per person with gardens opening from noon to 5pm. Carmarthenshire Dance Festival

Belly dancing, hip hop, contemporary and every dance step in between breaks into Llanelli’s Millennium Coastal Park this summer. This free to the public D10 Dance Festival is planned for the Festival Fields Millennium Coastal Park site with a riot of more than 30 performances. More than 500 professional dancers and community groups will sashay into the park spilling onto the promenade and be dancing all the way to the Discovery Centre. Those taking part are aged from 2yrs old (The Little Stars) to 92yrs old (Mature Movers) in an extravaganza of dance. JUKEBOX JUNIORS, Sky 1’s 'Got to Dance' finalists, India Dance Wales and a host of others including National Youth Dance Wales and Baubo Belly Dance Company will be entertaining crowds throughout the day. D10 is an open access event open from 12 noon until 10pm to passers by, dance fanatics or visitors alike. Performances are between 12-6pm and will showcase individuals, schools, groups, dance schools and troops who practice or reside in Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire. Armed Services Day at the Garden
National Botanic Garden of Wales.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales is throwing open its doors free of charge to all servicemen and women on Sunday July 18. The day is by way of a "thank you" to all the armed services and will feature music and other family entertainment. There will also be complementary refreshments for our brave boys and girls.
The Garden’s Armed Forces Day will feature music from two choirs - the Corran Singers from Laugharne and Cor Meibion Dyffryn Tywi - who will be performing in the Great Glasshouse. There will also be music and dancing in Millennium Square when everyone is invited to take part in a twmpath (ceilidh). In addition, there will be family entertainment with magic, fire juggling and balloon modeling. Servicemen and women are urged to bring their service ID to take advantage of the free entry offer.
