Creepy Carmarthen - The Spooky Town Tour
Carmarthen.
Every Wednesday night at 7.30 (Extra tours by arrangement). Meet on the Guildhall steps - tour takes approximately 90 minutes. Take a trip through Carmarthen's creepy past and meet murders and their victims. Visit the sites of bygone executions. Discover the dark secret of the town's greatest hero and find out where the ghosts walk! All tours are given a unique magical twist and include experiments in mind-reading which you may be invited to take part in! We will not be walking all the time but stopping off to hear spooky stories from days gone by, and visiting the town's Victorian Police Station within the walls of the ancient castle and prison. Suitable for wheelchair users and for older children - but not for the faint-hearted! £7 per adult, children and OAPs £5. Merlin Festival Children’s Fun Run and Scoot-R-Run

This event is part of the Merlin Festival which is held in Carmarthen on an annual basis and attracts huge crowds to this mythical Town. The event gets underway at 3pm from Merlin’s Walk with a Fun Run for children of all ages. It would be great to see all children dressed in their Merlin/Wizards hats and gowns for this fun event. The run is only 1km and suitable for children of all ages. At approximately 3.15pm we will hold our Scoot-R-Run which once again is for all children, but this time you will need to be on your scooter. All those taking part will need to be wearing a cycle helmet and everyone taking part will get a Merlin’s medal.

Welsh Open Water Estuary Swim
Ferryside to Llanstephan.
The Challenge: The swim, on 31st August 2013, is a 2km event from Ferryside to Llanstephan and back, across the Tywi Estuary. This year we have raised the number of swimmers to 100. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who wishes to join us. We do however request that swimmers be over the age of 16. Various beach activities for the public including a BBQ, live music and a raffle - all under the stunning backdrop of Llanstephan Castle.

The Welsh Open Water Estuary Swim starts at 3pm from the foreshore at Ferryside. An entry fee of £25 secures your place. We would be delighted if you could undertake this swim on a sponsorship basis to raise much needed funds for the Ferryside Lifeboat. Full safety cover is provided with experienced Kayakers, divers, motor boats, and of course, the Ferryside Lifeboat.
