The countdown to the festive season begins.
Choose your Christmas tree
You can get your Christmas trees from Llanddarog where Cymru Christmas Trees will let you select your tree and they will cut it and pack it for you or head to Salem Christmas tree Farm. They also supply trees in pots. After Christmas is over why not take your real Christmas tree to be recycled at one of our Household Waste Recycling Centres in Nantycaws, Carmarthen; Trostre, Llanelli, Wernddu, Ammanford and Whitland. Please see carmarthenshire.gov.uk/recycling for more festive recycling ideas.
Food hampers can make perfect Christmas presents - how about a luxurious selection from Ferryman in Laugharne or Blasus deli in Carmarthen? Further north, try Cegin y Porthmyn in Llandovery or Ginhaus in Llandeilo? Not sure what you want? Take a look at the Carmarthenshire Food trails for a round the county snapshot of some of the finest food producers in the country or pop into Foodies in Newcastle Emlyn.
Caws Cenarth even make a cheese in the shape of a Christmas pudding or if that doesn’t take your fancy, try out mince pie flavour icecream at Cowpots in Whitland. Heavenly in Llandeilo have it all when it comes to chocolate, from chocolate Santas and snowmen to massive chocolate Christmas trees, you’re bound to be tempted!
