For a unique sustainable, 'back to nature' holiday experience, head to Annwyn Valley Yurts, nestled in the beautiful wooded Cych valley. The yurts measure 18ft in diameter and sleep up to five people, they come furnished with antique rugs, sheepskins, floor cushions, tables and soft lighting. The internal cooking facilities comprise of a wood burning stove and a small kitchen area with a camping gas cooker. The camp is situated in a picturesque wooded valley which hosts an abundance of birds and wildlife - quite breathtaking!

Camping in 2011 is all about the Log Pod! Forget about putting up a tent - just rock up to your wooden hut and roll out your sleeping bag. Bryncoch Farm offers Log Pod accommodation on its gorgeous campsite set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, near to the town of Ammanford. The Log Pods are timber camping huts (sleeping up to 6) that are double insulated, so they are as warm in the winter as they are cool in summer. The campsite is set around a small lake, an ideal location for walkers and cyclists to venture from, or for the less energetic - a great place to just rest and relax.

Larkhill Tipis offers five different nomadic camping experiences set in their own 'space', separated by shrubs and trees. The most luxurious is the Alachigh, a beautiful structure used by the Shahsavan from Northern Iran which has its own elevated location with stunning views. Set on the edge of a four acre woodland are two different types of yurts - a Mongolian ger and a Bentwood plus there’s an 18' tipi In its own landscaped terrace and new for summer 2011 is a Scandinavian Luvvu. Larkhill is a family home and an eco-friendly smallholding of 20 acres in Carmarthenshire, west Wales.

If you’ve ever dreamt of a simple life on the open road, then how about spending a few days 'glamping' in an authentic gypsy caravan? This traditional wagon is privately located well down its own track in beautiful farmland with views to the Black Mountains, and it even comes complete with a wood fired hot tub! Inside there is a big comfortable bed, gas burner and grill, wooden sink unit with belfast sink, and table and chairs. Walk out onto the main wooden deck, and down some steps to the lower deck which features the shower and loo hut. You can buy fresh eggs and beef from the farm.
